What is Microexplorers?

MicroExplorers is a program that emerged from the Department of Biochemistry at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Through events at local schools and libraries, on campus, and in your home, kids, parents, and families have opportunities to explore phenomena at the micro-scale.

The program provides a starting point and materials for discovery-based science education for a diverse audience. We teach participants how to use microscopes to open up a new world around them, and in the process, they discover fundamental scientific principles. Participants nationwide can share their research and findings online.
